Nova politika Fakulteta astroloskih studija u Londonu
Treba povezati nekako FAS
i zainteresovane sa naseg podrucja... |

KEPLER u Americi
Kepler College has been authorized
by the Washington State Higher Education Coordinating Board to issue
Bachelor of Arts degrees in Astrological Studies. The entire degree
program takes four years to complete (each year consists of three
15-credit terms). As students earn their BA, they will take a journey
that begins in the ancient past, exploring the history, uses, philosophy
and practice of astrology from ancient times to modern day to see
how astrology influenced the development of modern civilization. Students
will learn about the controversies and arguments that surround the
field, discover their own answers and may even elect to take part
in current astrological research studies. In their third and fourth
year, students will be expected to select a particular field of study
in which to concentrate their studies and which will be the focus
of their final project. Below is a brief overview of the four-year
program.
YEAR ONE: The first year of the Kepler experience will take
you back in time to explore how astrology developed from ancient times
and was an integral part of the development of civilization through
to the modern period. You will explore how astrology was used throughout
the various stages of history; how the philosophies and myths of each
era and civilization influenced the way astrology was perceived and
how astrology changed through time and reflected each culture's way
of thinking. For more details, see the full Curriculum.
YEAR TWO:
The second year of the Kepler program explores how astrology is used
and practiced in modern times. You will examine how modern thinking
and modern myths shape society's current beliefs about astrology.
You will explore the various modern traditions, schools of interpretation
and mathematical systems of chart construction along with a look at
the philosophical, physical and metaphysical rationale behind the
techniques.
The second year program surveys various methods of natal
interpretation, transits, progressions, mundane, horary, electional,
financial, synastric, person-centered and medical systems of astrology.
You will learn how modern astrological interpretive techniques identify
specific life experiences, psychological behaviors, spiritual and
philosophical beliefs and you will learn to integrate this information
into a comprehensive interpretation of a horoscope. Western and Eastern
approaches to astrology will be discussed.
NOTE: Students with minimal
or no astrological background may want to begin their Kepler journey
by taking this year in astrological techniques and practice first.
If you are interested in this option, please contact the Kepler registrar
at http://us.f213.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=registrar@kepler.edu
information desk http://us.f213.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=info@kepler.edu
to see if this is the right choice for you. For more details, see
the full Curriculum.
YEAR THREE AND FOUR: In the third and fourth
year, you will be asked to select a specific track of study to develop
an in-depth knowledge and a broad-based level of expertise. In these
years, you will also have the option of taking a part-time schedule
as individual classes are five credits each. Nine 5-credit courses
comprise each track of study. During many of the Symposium activities,
individual tracks will be integrated into a common lecture or program.
Individual tracks include: (1) Astrology, Psychology & the Counseling
Arts; (2) Astrology & the Health Sciences; (3) Vedic Traditions &
Practices; (4) Astrology, Astronomy & the Computer Sciences; (5) Astrology
& the Social Sciences; (6) Astrology & the New Sciences; and (7) Modern
Theory & Philosophy of Astrology.
Not all tracks will be available
in the beginning years and some tracks will only be available every
other year. Students will also be expected to take 3 to 4 required
classes. These include: (1) ethics; (2) statistics; (3) astrology
in literature and for those intending to experience a professional
environment through a supervised internship, (4) professional practice.
For more details, see the full Curriculum.
GRADUATION: When you reach
your final term, you will be expected to select three individuals
to be your degree committee. This committee will include a faculty
advisor and at least one outside individual. Your degree committee
helps you formulate your final project or thesis paper. This project
will also be reviewed by at least two outside reviewers. For more
details on degree committees, reviewers and final projects, please
see Program Terminology. CURA's Twenty-third Edition: 03/12/2002 |
